May 05 Master Update
As part of our drive for continuous development, we have made some improvements to the administration of the PSS tool which will prove very useful to you as master editors for managing your sheets and users within your templates. MASTER AND LOCAL USER DATA The system currently shows you which local editor has created what sheet by automatically tagging the user name and displaying this alongside entries. This is displayed in the ISO search/sheet list and also in the activity report. We’ve now updated this function to allow for the same data to be displayed for master editors.
MANAGE LOCAL EDITORS IDENTIFICATION Identifying the country origin of sheets is sometimes difficult if the local editor hasn’t entered their country code in the ISO field. Therefore we’re identifying ways to combat this – one being amending the user ID details. Now when you create a new user - whether local or master, you must select the country in which they come from (for master editors though you would need to select MASTER EDITOR). The country name will then be displayed in the Activity Report next to their sheet details. You can then do a more defined search of the countries using your template(s). EMAIL BROADCASTS TO PSS GROUPS OF USERS Master Editors now have the option to email all their local editors via an automatic email broadcast from the PSS site. The broadcast allows you to select recipients from the groups of users within the system and also allows you to add attachments. The message is then sent as a normal text email. If you would like to take advantage of this broadcast facility please contact Julie Marston who will arrange your broadcast access. |
