We've made printing easy for you!
The Adobe Acrobat pdf file generated by the PSS tool is completely print-ready - designed to be compatible for both digital and litho printing.
Once you have completed your sheet, simply download the high resolution file and send to your desktop printer, your digital printer or your litho printer.
So, all you need to consider is your quantity and how you will print it!
Printing Tips - Firstly, decide on your print quantity. If you are likely to change the artwork regularly, only print a small quantity to avoid waste.
- Always use a good quality colour desktop printer. Check your printers colour configurations and colour cartridge use. Report any faults to your local IT department.
- Printing to your desktop printer is acceptable for proof copies or internal copies. For customer copies it is advisable to have sheets printed by a professional digital or litho printer.
- If you are printing to your desktop printer you will need to select the "no bleed" option if you are printing to an A4 printer (if you have an A3 printer you can print the bleed option and trim the sheets to the crop marks).
- Based on the quantity you require, identify the most cost-effective print method - ie digital or litho-printing (for quantities of more than 500 it may be advisable to go the litho print route). Talk to your local printer who will advise you on costs etc. Brief the printer as soon as possible - remember if you need it turned around quickly its inevitable the cost will be higher!
- Always do a double-check on your downloaded sheet before sending to print. Or ask a colleague to check it - they may spot things you haven't.
- It is advisable to see a "proof" from your printer too before they print your order.
- Do you want to print with a white margin all around (download the "no bleed" option), or do you want to print the images to the paper edge (download the "with bleed" option - see image below).
- Use a good quality paper. GCS recommend Challenger Silk paper stock.
